ITINERARY
Depart from the Auris-en-Oisans resort after purchasing your pedestrian pass at the SATA ticket office (€11.50 per person).
From the snow front, take the Auris Express chairlift, which is accessible to pedestrians. On arrival, you'll go straight to the Louvets chairlift, which will take you down to the bottom of the resort.
Once at the bottom, take the third chairlift: the Alpauris. It first descends into the Sarenne gorges, making a short stop, then heads back towards Alpe d'Huez. You'll have to get off at the gorges de Sarenne, during this short stop, and not at the final arrival in the resort.
The start of this tour is at the bottom of the Alpauris chairlift, in the Gorges de Sarenne.
Once there, follow the purple markers on your right: they'll guide you to the banks of the Gua, a pretty river that meanders under bare trees in winter.
The route then takes you to the Auberge de la Combe Haute, where you can take a break or have something to eat. After this stop, continue up the trail, then make a round trip along the indicated route (see GPX).
To return to the resort, simply take the Alpauris chairlift back up to the Auris ski area.
