ITINERARY
Depart from the Auris-en-Oisans resort after purchasing your pedestrian pass at the SATA ticket office (€11.50 per person).
From the snow front, take the Auris Express chairlift, which is accessible to pedestrians. On arrival, you'll go straight to the Louvets chairlift, which will take you down to the bottom of the resort.
Once at the bottom, take the third chairlift: the Alpauris. It first descends into the Sarenne gorges, making a short stop, then heads back towards Alpe d'Huez. You'll have to get off at the gorges de Sarenne, during this short stop, and not at the final arrival in the resort.
From the arrival point of the Alpauris chairlift, take the footpath on the left towards the village of Huez. The path leads into the Sarenne gorges, where you'll follow the course of the Gua throughout your walk.
The first part of the route is a steady descent through the fir trees. When you arrive in Huez, take the opportunity to stroll through this charming mountain village. You can visit the church of Sainte-Anne, admire the narrow streets and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
The return journey takes the same route. It's a gradual climb up to Alpauris, where you'll find the chairlift departure point.
